Minimalist Styling with Tether Jewelry

Minimalist Styling with Tether Jewelry

Posted by Jared Karnes on

Minimalism is a set of ideas about visual decoration and interaction with objects. Key takeaways are simplicity and a focus on form and interaction with the environment rather than decoration. Tether has a thing for minimalist design and the idea that a strong form lacking decoration can hold space and be a showpiece regardless of size.

Jewelry can be small or large and still be minimalist in concept, so you'll see pieces here that are among both our slimmest and largest clickers and our smallest and largest gold ends. Minimalist forms convey sophistication through simplicity and highlight shadow, light play, and interaction with the body.

A customer's style may dictate minimalist pieces, and they are also fantastic options to complement existing jewelry and accent space in complex ear projects. We love to see our Partner Studio and retail client creativity in mixing ends and clicker stacking!

A constant heartbeat of minimalist design runs through all of our collections. We've gathered together some of our favorite pieces that exemplify this style.

CLICKERS

Tether Halo Clicker
Our Halo Clicker features a low profile with high polish contours and a thin incised groove across the front. This piece is stunning worn alone or stacked.
Tether Archive Clicker
Our best-selling Archive clicker is a gorgeous example of minimalist design, featuring eye-catching volume and a mix of curves and gentle lines that dance with light at every angle.
Tether Naica clicker
The Naica clicker makes a statement with bold polished areas separated by deep grooves, adding depth and light play with movement.
Tether Manta Clicker
The Manta clicker's slim incised lines add subtle decoration highlighting its strong angular form.
Tether Chasm Clicker
Our Chasm clicker has curves and shine contrasted with depth and shadow as the lower groove shows with movement.
Tether Pulse Clicker
The Pulse clicker is similar to Chasm, but the introduction of angles makes for more dynamic visuals with movement.
Tether Hellas Clicker
The Hellas Clicker is all about impact. Our homage to Hellas Planitia (Wikipedia), the largest visible impact crater known in the Solar System, the cuboid cutouts are placed to resemble textured gemstones found on an alien land. This contrast of shine and texture makes Hellas a wonderfully dynamic piece.

14K SOLID GOLD THREADLESS

TETHER ALPHA THREADLESS END

The ALPHA 01 threadless end has a broad high polish domed face surrounded by subtle texture. This minimal mirror-like piece changes constantly as it reflects the surroundings.

TETHER PYRITE BETA 04
The BETA 04 ends feature a simple square four-corner setting with pyramid shaped gems like this featured Pyrite.
TETHER ELEMENT ENDS
Our best-selling ELEMENT collection combines simple shapes and subtle incised lines for big impact. The collection features ELEMENT 06 (hexagonal), ELEMENT 04 (square) and ELEMENT 03 (triangular) with similar line detail.
TETHER OMEGA00
Crowd favorite OMEGA 00 features a slightly domed face with concentric circles surrounding a gorgeous 1.5mm certified conflict-free diamond.
TETHER THETA END
The THETA 66 end shows simplicity in design with a shift in aesthetic from the high-polished upper area to its textured outer regions.
TETHER HEX DROP
Our Hex Drop style features the lovely ELEMENT 06 hexagonal end with the addition of a simple conflict-free diamond drop.

TETHER ACCESSORIES

TETHER HYPNOS RING

Our Hypnos ring features a diamond centerpiece of peaks and valleys, creating mountains of light play with movement.

TETHER MORPHEUS RING

The Morpheus ring features angular lines and areas of recessed triangles with contrasting textures.

TETHER UNA CHAIN CUFF

The Una Chain Cuff is a no-piercings-needed decorative ear cuff with simple chain dangles.

TETHER BOLO

The Empire Bolo Tie Necklace is our minimalist take on a classic accessory, with a high-polish textured triangular detail grasping a simple chain.

OFTEN MINIMAL, ALWAYS INSPIRED

As a company inspired in part by architecture and design movements, minimalism will always have a place in our offerings. It's not our sole design love, though. Stay tuned for a post about our "maximalist" offerings; the unsubtle designs full of detail and texture that demand attention from every angle.
